I have often wondered what it is that you do. Besides give me crap. ;)

I work for an oilfield instrumentation company. They put "sales engineer" on my business cards but I don't sell anything and I'm not an engineer so go figure. My fingers would be knubs before i finished typing all of the systems i work on and since i need them to actually work on said systems, i'm not going to do it. I am heavily involved in everything from electronics and hydraulics to networking and satellites. I prefer electricity since i enjoy working on it and it makes sense IMO. (not to mention your hands stay cleaner :D) We go from basic 4-20mA current loops to more complex pwm digital outputs. My favorite system is an electronic automatic driller that is very cool to watch. I could go on and on but i am already getting tired of typing. the benefits include a decent company truck that is generally replaced every 3 years or at 125K miles but i am driving an 06 chevy crew cab so maybe i need to bring that up in the next conference call. :hehe: At least its a nice truck with leather and power and all and not your standard white ford single cab long bed truck. :hehe: I pay less than $100 a month to lease it from the company and that includes unlimited personal mileage and naturally they pay for the gas, insurance, repairs etc.
Great vision, dental and health care along with life insurance. The company pays over 600 a month to keep my payments down below 160 a month for a $500 PPO plan. (myself and spouse) WOOOO

Add in annual bonus's and offshore bonus's and i am one lucky sonuvagun IMO.

and now you know what i do

I just got back from visiting an old friend who was my boss when I was teaching IT stuff. I got begged to move 2hrs west of where I am now and work for her and straighten the school's network out. Teachers were saving grades on an unsecured network drive! File swapping galore! The only computer there that didn't have at least 5 viruses was broken and in pieces. If I wasn't having so much fun in retirement beating on my RC Trucks, I actually might go and be the new sheriff in town and clean the place up.

Enjoy the retirement Hamz.

I'm sitting here enjoying my first 8hr shift In 2 months.
Not slowed down. Just ran out of steel. May be a Saturday.
