How to use this

ok so I bought some of those painting masks and wanted to know if this is the correct way to sue them before I use them,.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

is all I have to do take it out like a big sticker place them on the car where I want them, then paint my main color then take the mask off then paint were the the mask was to fill it in.

i ask because there also cam a shhet off white paper. it looks gloosy looking but dont know what that is for!

please write back I'm ancious to start!!!

correct just stick and paint, I would also suggest that you use somthing smooth and rub the sticker to make sure their are no bubbles or nonstuck edges and make sure you hve cleaned the body very well.

Also when you paint the main color. Dont take the stickers off for a couple of hours, you can use a hairdryer to speed up the proccess. If the paint isnt dry it will come up with the mask.

Not sure what the white paper is for.

all the bodies that i have painted can with a white glossy sheet of paper like you said


and it had the windows masks cut out on it like big stickers

and you can use those just like the masks you were talking about

Hold on there cheif..... DO NOT just pull off the mask and stick it on your lid....
The white glossy paper is TRANSFER PAPER. This will keep your masking from distorting while it is applied..

Really? I had no idea what that was for, either! None of the mask sets I've received referenced what that sheet was for!

AHHHHHHHHHH I'm so dum I just forgot to wash the body but already place the stickers. OOHhh noi can I still clean it???????????????

I would think you could still wash it? The paint masks are vinyl? Just make sure they are stuck on real well. Have to wash under the mask after the rest of the paint dries.

If you aren't sure try a piece of scrap mask on a soda bottle?
Just put a pc of mask on it and wash it like you woud your body.

I think you will probably be ok if you didnt touch the inside that much. But maybe you can take the vinyls off and then replace them when the body is clean.

I think you're OK to wash it with the masking on, just make sure you dry it out really good and insure your masking isn't curling up on the edges. After you spray your base coat, take some denatured alcohol on a Q-Tip to clean the masked areas before you shoot the paint there.

Any time I use vinyl or tape masking I clean the body with a little da on a clean rag, just wipe the inside areas down with the da. DON"T soak it, just a dampened cloth with da, you just want to remove the mold release agents, and the oils from your skin that will get on the body during the masking whether you cleaned it first or not. So go ahead and clean it. I also clean the area the masking was in prior to shooting that area. That prevents any fingerprints from removing the masks, and adhesive from the masking from showing on the new paintjob.
