I won't go into the details of how I damaged my collet (friggin bonehead). But I'm not sure how to go about purchasing a replacement.

I have a Novarossi C12.

How do I find the part. I've searched the net, anybody have suggestions?

I see some collets listed by dimensions;http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDLF6&P=7 Where would I take the measurments (ID, OD, Larger/shorter diameter portion of cone, length  )

Will any collet for a .12 work?

Or will I have to simply take mine with me and compare...unfortunately my LHS doesn't have any in stock for a .12....would some for a .15 be comparable?

I would like to e-mail the LHS a part # so I could get before Race Day (Sunday)

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Mr T

I think that any collet for a 12 will work. I know that the collets from my .21s and my 24.7 are the same size so I would imagine that .12s will work with each other.

most .12 and .15 engines use the same size collet. I have many here that will interchange, if you LHS has one for a .15, compare it with what you have, my guess is it'll work.
