I can't find the formula to determine how fast something is going i know there is something like distance and time in but how does it all go together?

Speed = distance/time.
Average speed = (speed1 + speed2+ speed3+ ... +speed n)/n where speed1 etc. is an instance of the speed of the objects measured at the first particular point.
Velocity = distance in a direction/time, same as speed, except that speed is a scalar quantity and velocity is a vector quantity. The difference is usually conceptual rather than computational.
Acceleration = velocity/time

Differential versions of these formulae are also available, but they indicate more or less the same calculations.

the distance traveled divided by the time to travel that distance and measured in m/s

----------------revised Average speed = (d1 + d2) / (d1/s1 + d2/s2) where d = distance travelled using speed s1 .

Or use his^

So if i went 100 ft in 5 seconds thats 20 ft per sec how do i make that mph.

type it into google. "20 ft/sec in mph"

13.6363636 mph
