How should I approach this?

I have my Heng long and I was wondering if I should build a racing tank out of my project, but I have no idea how. The tank is very light after electronics removal, and I have a high power gearbox on the way. Only problem is, it’s not high speed. I want to re-gear the whole entire gearbox mechanism to increase speed, how should I do it? (I want durability, too, but if I get metal parts, it will be too heavy. What should I do for suspension, track, ect?)
