Just curious. One just popped up near me. They want $300, but i think that's a bit much. It is open box but everything is still in bags. I wanted to build it a few years ago but missed my chance.

I'd offer $300 even. I have a set of titanium cage halves I will give you for free if you end up with the Spawn. Some guy was making them and I picked up a set years ago and never used them. Will only cost you shipping.

I appreciate that. I'll let you know if I get it.

No problem. I've got other spare bits and pieces from my Wraith Spawn that I'll send ya. $300 is not a terrible price in that I've seen them close to $500, and the funny part is that it's really the body condition that drives the cost. Good luck and keep us in the loop.

This one is the builders kit and the body hasn't even been cut out yet. From the pictures it looks like someone bought it, never got around to building it, and it has just been sitting on a shelf somewhere. I'm in it for the thrill of the build, so I definitely want it. Just something different that i'll probably spend too much money on...

Well, look at it this way; you'll most likely not ever find one for considerably less in that condition. If you want it, you should move on it.

I sent them an offer for $250. If they don't take it I'll shoot for $300. We shall see.

I'm about to drop 390 on a 10.3 kit. Still need paint, electronics and such. When are you getting it? 🫠🙃

Ooooh, I had that as my second or 3rd "serious" RC. It's crap really, but anything Axial back then was crap. Some would say it still is 🤣
And it was a bastard to work on!

Unless it's gonna be a shelf queen, and if you want any performance out of it, you'll need to upgrade anything metal to better metal and all of the plastic stuff gotta go (gbox gears, lockers, outdrives, steering links etc). If you wanna crawl, relocate battery to front. If you wanna rock race, don't, LOL.

Now with all that said... BUY BUY BUY!

Honestly, I just want to build something different. I've built a yeti, bomber, unimog,scx10iii, capra, and a ryft. The ryft is the only one I have left. I just like to build, tinker, and trade. I'll probably put around the back yard a bit and put it on a shelf.

I guess I could add the RC4WD TF2, Element Gatekeeper, Vanquish VS4-10 phoenix straight and portal axle, SSD trail King, and Traxxas Trx4 to the list. I still have the TRX4... I love those locking/unlocking diffs!

Good riddance... kidding, bummer you didn't get it! :droid:
After messing around with my Ryft the other day, I started to second guess my decision to put in an offer anyways! Those rigs are a pain in the butt to do maintenence on.

The Wraith was sold to another person.
You wanted a wraith and got a wraith: a ghost or ghosting image. 🫠

On a serious note:
Since I can't tell by your last post if I should say sorry for your loss or congrats on your loss.

I've been through axial's line of ten scale crawlers n crap , pretty pathetic plastics involved there , I felt like I was working on one of those glue sniffing models , I didn't care for the quality at all

I would tend to agree with the older models. I noticed a big difference in the plastics quality when I built the Capra kit. I thought the SCX10iii was better quality as well...except for that stupid micro shifting servo design.
