$0 for me. tower charges too much. i can get better prices at my LHS, and even better other places online.

as for budget. my adult side always gives in to my inner childs begging.

You're in good shape if you can get better prices at the lhs over Tower. My hobby shop was charging way too much, so it was all Tower and Ebay.

well the owners prices are about equal to tower, so trade tax for shipping, and figure in the 10% discount he gives me. and i make out pretty good. a lot of independantly owned shops will provide discounts for regular customers or guys that help with track maintainance. we have one or 2 guys that race with us, that are on very limited budgets, they get a better discount than i do, and race for free. because they are good representatives for the hobby, and they do a LOT of the track maintainance during the week, so that we have a nice place to run on the weekends. the owner really appreciates this because he cannot do the work himself, he is a paraplegic.

My LHS is a Great Planes distributor so I get stuff at 10% below Tower's advertised prices. It is safe to say that between my LHS, ebay, and RushRC I have spent a grand total of $0 at Tower.

Well I got my Savage 25 rtr set up, a spare roto start shaft, a dozen Odonell glow plugs, a work stand, a tools box tote, 4 qurts of Odonell 20%, a Dodge Ram lid, some spyder diffs, and 4 things of paint, some xxx main picture glue shtuff and a few others things I'm sure I'm forgeting so Id guess I'm hovering somewhere around the $750 mark.. But the past couple months were the most epensive for me in a while.. But owell its fun..hehe

$0.00, but I spent $875 on a prospec, 3-port rossi engine and a used mbx5 for parts on ebay. With a case of fuel, new airtronics servo, failsafe for my son and some other misc stuff I will have spent ~$300 at my LHS. I've also got another 400 set aside for an EZ-up, fuel to and from the track, meals and racing fees. Probably last me half the season going 1-2 times a month.

my local hobbie shope is nuts they dont know nothing about rc they always ask about rc they want a part number and half the time they can't get it.... and when they can they want a lot more $$$ and you have to wait for 1 person over there to tell you if he can get it after giveing them the part number and he is only in wednesday .... they dont get bissnes from me anymore and there attude is not the best ... so i tell people to stay away from ( norwood hobbie shope) thats why i shope at tower hope i did not bor you all lol curtis
