This is not a for sale thread. I just want to know how much I should be able to get for it.

Bought it early March, so it's less than 3 months old.
Less than a gallon on the truck itself, less than half a gallon on the new motor, broke in, but not fully tuned.
Brand new hardened steel 2nd and idler gears, will also have a brand new diff.
Tires are worn.
Spoiler is broken off the body, but I'm going to move the screws and re-attach it.
I'm also going to clean it up before selling it.

Amain sells it for $359.99

I need $379 for a new Jato 3.3 from HobbyTown.

So what's a good asking price when I list it on Craigslist?

I would have to say in the $150 - $175 range if you are lucky.

You can get a brand new on on ebay for $280 to $300.

Be sure you clean it up good and use WD40 on all the black plastic to make them look good.

In general, once you use an RC (especially if it looks used) you can expect to get half of what you paid for it unless it is heavily hopped up.

That sucks, for that I might as well let it sit on the shelf and collect dust. Maybe I can find a sucker that'll buy it off craigslist for $250 or so.

Especially a nitro. I've seen Tmaxx's in excellent condition with tons of hop ups go for alittle over $100 shipped.

Still more than Id pay though.

Yes I am VERY leery of buying used RC items. Not that I don't trust the seller its just that I am very meticulous about that care of the vehicle. and some of the stuff I have seen for sale at HIGH prices makes me wonder. It's even hard for heavily hopped up vehicles to even come close to what they have invested in them.

Lol, so far the only hop-up I have is steel idle and 2nd gears. Nobody makes anything for this pos. As of now, I'm waiting to hear from Losi on a well worded complaint that I sent in, hoping that they'll suck it up and send me the diff and center shaft that broke. Otherwise, I've been bugging RRP to make a metal diff for it, and it sounds like they are considering it. Until then, it'll collect dust until I either find a roller to drop the electronics and engine in, or I custom build a chassis.

The problem I have with a custom chassis, is what parts to build it around. So that may be a whole new project in the making. What I want to do, is build a true dirt modified car, roundbar frame and all, but I need to get specs for a 1:1 so I can scale it down. The only people I know who build 1:1 dirt modified chassis' aren't exactly willing to hand over their blueprints, especially knowing that I am involved it the local dirt racing community. Also, I would need short stubby front A-arms, which I would probably have to make, and a straight axle like a crawler that will handle some serious speed.
