How much bigger is savage than Maxx???

Does anyone kno? I want like inches. My bro wants a nitro truck now that he's seen my maxx go but he's only just turned 11 and he's flat broke. He always has to get something bigger and better than me in everything or he's not saticefied. I don't think the savage is a whole lot bigger. Mainly he just wants a 1/eighth scale that's bigger than mine, he wants to run over my maxx literaly. I said it's gonna take some serious hop UPs and jumbo kongs to do that.

I think it is like one inch but the scale of it says 2 inches

i think the savage is a little taller( not really sure) because the shocks on the tmaxx are smaller than the shocks on the savage.

Ok I guess he decided to get an Ofna Pirate. Anyone know how well they perform? I looked on Towerhobbies and the savage is about 6 " taller than the maxx. And the Maxx is about 5" taller than the pirate, But the pirate has a Hyper .21 single speed trans. He has no idea that the pirate is 5 inches smaller, He pry thinks it's five " taller. He has it in it's head that when a truck is labled "1/8 scale that it's going to crush a 1/10 scale easy. He didn't even bother to search it's background or even see it's specs. He just went out on ebay and bought one brand new for two-hundred fifty bucks shipped. He don't even kno that u have to break in an engine before use let alone how. He hates putting things together. All of these really speak to me and say " He's a wild one!!!! I personally think he'll quit after he breaks three things. Which will pry happen in one bash.:marshall:

i think the ride hight of the savage is like 1/2" taller and is just wider than the maxx

Tell lil bro to check out the MGT...........it's longer and wider than the Savage and I think it may be about an inch taller too, runs a Thunder Tiger .21, has CVD's all around, 2 speed tranny with reverse, but he's gonna have to start saving his $$.........

Exactly. $$ is exactly wat he doesn't have about any of. And Anyone that tells him he should save gets shot down. Believe me. It sux. He bought the pirate with money in his bank account that our dad wants us to save for college and cars and stuff. He could barely make up his mind weather he would let him buy the truck with that money. I really didn't want him in nitro so I figure this is how it works: He don't kno that u have to brake in an engine so it'll blow right away and he'll be frustrated to have to buy a new engine, he might do that, but he'll blow it again and hate nitro and go electric like his first choice was.

He'll go hey this is brand new and your used one works better.

I have two things to say here. The old man in me says that your brother isn't old enough for nitro at all. Ok beyond that you should be a good brother and help him break it in and teach him how to run it at least a little bit. That would be nice of you. After all it is Christmas man.

I kno he would love just running it with it never having problems or breaking but we all no that'll never happen, My parents, or my dad anyways understands how hard it is and tried to talk him out of it. It sux cuz He's two years younger and just as tall and weighs more than me. It ain't my fault. I also think this wouldn't be a hobby for him cuz he gets mad really easy. It's easier to just let him figure out that he won't like it rather than trying to tell him believe me, he hits me over that too.:no_commen

back to the subject, the maxx is smaller then the savage out of the box, but when u put the .21 conversion on it, it becomes 1/8th scale.

also, i got my maxx when i was 11. but i did know thigns about them cause some guys at my lhs told me stuff and tought me how to work on them. when i got mine i knew alot about it so it wasn't hard for me to wrench on it.

if u bro is just buying this truck to have and mess around with that is good, but if u guys are going to go around and screw the engine up and everything else, DONT WASTE UR MONEY!!!
