hey yo! i got a case of htl so i decided to take the plunge on a ofna 125cc hyper 7 pro fuel tank, believe some others were running this tank on a savage x and was wondering if people still are and how you mounted it? i was thinking of maybe making a mount out of old savage x a arms but am open to thoguts. I'm not that good with being creative or with woodworking/making mounts so i hope it will be an easy install!

while i wait I'm gonna try the uniflow mod this weekend, wish me luck!

Quite a few never had the issue, but I always seemed to. Some would raise the stock tank and that helped. Some would add loops of fuel line and that helped. There was also a "uniflow" mod you could do to the tank that used a one way check valve... that was annoying and would drain your tank out on the ground if you weren't careful.

I always just ran a 125cc buggy tank. I ran the old OFNA 30280 tank for years on all my savage's.

Then OFNA folded and I needed a new tank due to mine leaking, got lucky and found an ofna 19076 tank:

I made a little L piece for the rear out of 1/4" steel round stock (1/4" key stock would have been better/easier to drill flat) and I think a 5mm long bolt that had a threaded end through the throttle pivot after drilling out the throttle pivot mount to avoid splitting it, then sandwiched the front of the tank between a nut and couple washers with some fuel line as a cushion.

This was easier to do on the X with 4 of the big bore shocks as it gave you room for the tank so it didn't run into the inside shock.
