Yesterday afterwork: Itwas 16c out side with a nice cold breeze.
Main needle set at 3.5 turns out LSN set at 2.5 out.
Started engine after 3 pulls after priming with ARO first.
Ran first tank with vehicle runing around the nearly mid rpm range then slowly bringing it up ti middle rpm range, feul spewing out the exhaust when I take a turn. Engine temp was at 90c.
Allowd engine to cool with pistonat bottom of stroke.
Leaned main needle out 1/12th of a turn and ran 2nd tank the same and 3rd.
4th Tanks leand HSN aother 1/12th of a turn and ran motor in low rpm to mid rpm feul still spewing out. engine temp was at 90c
Allowed engine to cool with piston at the bottom. Afterwards I sprayed allot of ARO in.
I am going to run another 4 tanks of fuel today with leaner setting going a bit up to short high speed bursts.

How amI doing so far?

I basically swopped it for a new OS15cv-x. How forgiving are O.S engines? I hope this ehgine does not dissiapoint me!

well the good news is that they are VERY VERY forgiving. The bad news is that the cv-x is nowhere near as powerful.

BTW - i thought u told me that u purchased a Rossi? But in the last thread it says u had a Novarossi?

I am more after reliability than speed. I have no competition as all my friends run electric 27-19 turn .68 BHP is diffirent to 68HP

Sounds like you're running in by the book. I'm breaking in a new OS .15 CV-RX on my Maxx. I'm at about the same stage. 4 tanks in. Right now it's running like a dog but I know it's because I'm super-rich on the LSN. I want to get 4 more tanks through before I lean it. I have gotten to a point on the HSN where I don't want to go any leaner. I was running at about 260F the other day with it. So I richened it a bit and am going to run the last 4 tanks there. I have yet to see the true power of this thing but I wait anxiously.

LOL - i wonder if that is why u were having tuning problems? i was giving u specs for the Rossi engine, lol.

The OS mill is probably the MOST RELIABLE, MOST EASY TO TUNE, and LONGEST LASTING engine out there. I have an OS .21rg in my buggy and that engine is just die hard.

u will love the os engines!

did u see the difference on the links i gave u?

yes very different. Candyman can you give me extended and compressed shock lengths from eyelet to eylet on your Maxx pleeeze?
