With a good Radio and fresh batteries you can prety much drive it as far as you can see it, at least thats been my experiance, baring there is no interferance in the area, todays radios have realy good range....

yeah, plenty further than you can see it in most cases.
I don't know if it's my area or what, but I have yet to have a transmitter than will work more than 250 yards or so. Then they start to glitch really bad. I haven't tried any higher end radios, just a few RTR's and the MX3.
It may be due to the fact that I run NiMH cells in my transmitter which only charge up to about 11V safely. I've always run NiMH's.
I've used 2 JR XR2's, 2 Traxxas TQ3's and an Airtronics MX3 with the airtronics receiver and a novak XXtra receiver. I get the best distance and least glitching with the MX3/Novak combo.

750 ft. on an A.M. system seems pretty good to me. I think Spektrum estimates 1000 ft.

the radio i have clames 1000ft. this all depends on how much "stuff" is around you. just about everything non organic puts off some sort of electronic frequecy, or could block your signal. power lines, buildings, etc.
1000ft = about 333 yards.. so a little over 3 football fields.

The spektrum for ko pro on the box says 3000ft, but I'm not going to try that,and I won't probably be able to even see what's going on that far to want to drive it over there.
