HI
My friend recently got an RC10gt
and when he lets off the gas the brakes come on and are on when the truck is idling I checked the servo position and the spring for the break (On throttle linkage, the one that keeps the linkage from moving the linkage too far when brakes are applied) is not pushed in at all
and when he does actually appliy the brakes with the trigger it dies just wondering if you could, help thanks...

P.S. I have not witnessed this with the engine running only with radio turned on so I'm relying on what he told me ( would have fired it up but the steering on the TX is broken and only works accasionally)
Oh and if you were wondering why he didn't just post it is because he Doesn't have a computer...

I'm not really understand the question but it sounds like you need to increse your idle. When you hit the brakes it closes the carb and thus causes it to die. Hope this helps...

It sounds like the linkage or throttle trim may need to be adjusted, from what you described Joolz is right in the fact that it sounds like when you apply the brakes and it dies that is is completely closing the carb. First screw the idle screw in with the brakes applied so that when the brakes are applied you have about a 1mm opening in the barrel of the carb, make sure it is not closing the barrel completely. Then move on to check the linkage and throttle trim.

Nitros right and read up about fine tunning the carb as well. You might be running the low end too rich.

To Tell you the truth I don't Know Because He broke his radio so we put the crystals in my cousins set the trims and it worked fine the brakes are still on at Idle but he doesn't Care so I didn't mess with it so it must have been in his radio's trims but it works fine now -xmas-

damn kid, learn how to use periods.......................................................................................................................................................................................... . . . . .

I would seriously get your friends brakes to unlock themselves. What your doing is draging the brakes, not only does that ruin the disk brake really fast but it is also stressing your engine out to the point of abnormal runing temps. It sounds to me that your servo horn which the throttle and brake rods connect to is a tooth or so off. Do what everyone else suggested plus what I told you and you should have a good runing truck with 20 minutes work or less.

Good Luck

Ok I'll do that next time I see him if he lets me and if he hasn't taken it to LHS yet.......................................... happy now j0olz..........................................................

Hey jOolz whats a period are they legal silly kidz wheres the period
