Hi. i was just wondering how yall got into this wonderful hobby. i started for the cravings when i was 4. i was outside my house and my neighbor pulls out his....his.... well i dont know what it was and hes dead now but he didnt know anything about it.( i remember he pointed to the spur and said if this gets wet, even a little drop, the entire car is ruined). it was love at first sight. bought my first truck last year after 10 years of research:constipat and love it as much now as i did back then.

Well I was bored with my 10dollar cheap electric one and decided to get something gas. I joined this forum and got my first tmaxx. And my only maxx i guess but I love it all the same.

ROFL. I also started out with an XMOD. I thought I was so cool, until... My cousin had a nitro, and both me and my brother wanted one. We got one, an NTC3 RTR and the MTX-3 kit. We gave up on the NTC3. A few years later (AKA now), I found the kit sitting in my closet. I built it, then got back into the hobby :D.

haha. i remember wheni had them. i also rember when 12.00 aluminum parts were damn expensive. no we are buying 150.00 parts. LOL

A year and a half ago (autumn of 2006) I remembered having a neighbor that had a gas onroad. I researched "gas RC cars" and came up with a bunch of nitro stuff, but I kept disregarding it. I later came to find out nitro IS what he had. I wouldn't stop obsessing about it. That Christmas I found one under the tree with my name on it. That same week I joined RCNT :D

I got addicted a long time ago but never go into it but i had a E-Maxx, that was givin to me as a first truck but i wanted sounds speed and everything else..

so i got a tmaxx but sold it and pretty much forgot about the hobby

now a couple years later I'm trying to research and ketch back up on what i been missing out on

I'm 40 and I lost my father in october last year. I tried my hardest to be there through that time for mum and she rewarded me with a small early inheritence and the words, do something that makes you happy.
I run a commercial sandpit, and our mechanic has a Hyper 7. One day he let me have a go which scared the bejeezes out of me. (acceleration + no expectations= disaster).
The next week I bought my first, 4 months later I have 49. Its an ADDICTION, no doubt.

i got into this hobby cause of my buddy flandersander he asked me if i would join the hobby with him i said yes and its been so much fun so far and i haven't looked back.....

well............my girlfriends brother has a t maxx and a savage. my friend bought a used tmaxx also. so i figured my son needed one. 3 months later we got 4!! some break ups and alot of repairs but alot more fun too!!

Holy crap! That's one nice X-MOD. I pretty much ran mine stock with those stupid 2nd stage motors, but you probably have like a brushless set up with LiPo on it.

LiPo battery, stacked FETs, deep dish wheels, foam tires, and i think it was brushless but its a 120,000 rpm motor.

Dude, 49!! that more than an addiction...you need the 12 step program for sure...

as for me, i got into the hobby about 4-5 yrs ago. there was a small hobby shop that i would drive by everyday going to work and one day decided to stop in. after an hour of talking to the shop owner i walked out with an early b-day present...duratrax maximum MT. being a complete newb, it lasted about 2 months before i killed it. around the same time it died my brother-in-law bought a savage and we were both hooked. about 6 months later i found this site and never looked back.

For me it all started over 28 years ago, my uncle bought me this crapy little rc van that when you clicked the controler, and yes I do mean literaly click, it made a clicking noise, it would change directions, any way after that it was tamiya, associated, losi, and currently its assocoiated, mugen, and traxxas X 2. I love these things.....

i got hooked when my frind got an old tmaxx from his uncle and he started wrenching on it 2 monthes later i bought my raze and my dad bought his jato now after 7 or 8 different cars I've finally worked my way up to the all mighty revo and dad is still bashing around in his lil jato

I always loved cars had a bunch of random radio shack trucks cars wanted more power my dad showed me towerhobbies website and got one for x mas always into cars these are just cheaper then my full size car ;)
