How are you cheap?

I was listening to the radio this morning and they where going on about how much gas prices where and how it's causing some people to become really cheap in other areas to afford it.

One thing the DJ said he does was clip coupons like mad and wait for Meyers to have their triple coupon special. He also took calls and one caller said he keeps all the cups from fast food places and such so when he goes there he just uses the same cup to get free refills. Some of the others made me laugh so what do you guys do to save a few cents?

Sorry everyone were not home this month can't come over.

My wife is the Queen of rebates. Seems like every day we get a check in the mail for $3.-$5.00. It takes a lot of time to fill out all the paper work. I think its her hobby.

kfc here they put signs up saying all day all you can eat buffet. and peolple eating there at noon at then come back at like 5 to eat dinner. and they had to let them eat for free since the sign said that or they could get find for false advertisment. so they ended up taking the sign down in about a week

I love crack head soup..... if you put the whole package of flavor in you could die of high blood presure in a second... dammm salty.

We too have a water cooler at work and that's all I drink. In fact the only time I actually buy any kind of drink is when I go to Apple Bee's on the weekend for happy hour - other then that I'm drinking water and LOTS of it every day.

I don't smoke so I don't have that problem. I'm thinking this coupon deal sounds pretty nice, I just got to find out when Meyers has this triple coupon days

I don't give out my cigarettes to those that constantly mooch. To save money, hmmmm ... I really don't. Only time I really spend any money is when I race on the weekends. Sl0eg1n buys the gas, I buy the food and we each pay our own entries. It works out to roughly $40. Spare parts and other incidentalsare about another $40 ... all in all $100/weekend if we break alot. SOOOOOOO, to save money, I try not to break too much at the track ...

The worst cig bummers are the ones that ask for a smoke and when you give them one they look at the brand and say "menthols? no thanks!" Beggers can't be choosers!

Actually it's a rarity that I bum smokes and on the occasions when it happens at work, I usually go and buy that person a pack of their favorites the next day.

I was so broke one time when I was a kid that I lived off a box of pancake mix for over a week. No milk, butter, or anything but water and mix to make them with. I did go to the Fast food place and steal a bunch of ketchup packages and made some tomato soup. Boy wasn't that good!!!

I think if needed, the first place I would cut back is on cable / satalite tv, Satalite radio, and Cell phone thats $200.00 a month

Do they ask you again after you bought the person a pack of cigs?

I buy softpack and keep it in my back pocket. After an hour or 2, they will become more like a Gum Stripe. You want a cig? Sure sure .. here ya go. (the face = priceless)

As for me, I stop buying drinks when i'm out bashing. I bring my own water from now on. And I drive slower then I used to.

top ramen has to be the cheapest meal you can have. and i like them too. i think the last time i went to safeway with my mom it like like 24 packs for 4 dollars! you can live off that for months for only 4 dollars!
