well since i have this long unpaid vacation.I'm gonna try making some homemade jerky.

i will take pics along the way.

first u start off with a good piece of meat.marinades and seasonings and stuff like that.

for the third pic i dont no dont ask.looks kinda like a cow tounge.

as of now i cut it into more manageable peices and its in the freezer so it will be easy to cut once it hardens up some.

hell yeah! home made jerky is the bomb! i over dose on deer jerky every year lol...
 
tonys was on the right side.dont worry i promise it was in there.one bag has more teryaki in it for the girlfriend.mine has more seasoning and spice

i cut em in different pieces just so see what works best. the meat smells amazing.I'm lettin it marinade over night.then will dry it tomo.

i dont see how this can come out not tasting good.

Exactly. Once I had all the ingredients in there and got a good whiff, it would have been in a skillet in an instant. I can smell it just by looking at it.
 
One word of advice....

Next time you post a How-To thread on making homemade beef jerky...


DO NOT post a picture of your dog first.

That ain't a piece of dog I can tell you that.

It looks like a piece of Eye Rump Roast to me. I had to go look at an US meat chart to find the name. We have very different cuts over here.

Be careful not to give it to much smoke. It has a tendency to get pretty intense as the meat looses moisture.
