I have a torq 12 engine and i have tried every freakin setting on the carb and it stalls all the time for no reson i have no power or speed plzzz tell me what ur opinions are is it just dead or what thanks alot

nick........

Go back to the stock settings and lean it out from there. ALso you might want to try changing your glow plug, sometimes this makes all the difference in the world.

How long have you had the engine & how much fuel has been run through it?
How does the engine stall? Under off the line accelleration?
When it does cut out, how does the engine act? Does it bog down and cut off? Does it rev up some and then cut off?
What kind of fuel are you using?
What kind of plug are you using, and is it in good condition?
Have you tried replacing your plug?

Check to make sure the cylinder head is on securley.2 of the screws that held the head to the motor on my maxx broke and it kept stalling and wouldn't start due to a lose of compresion.

i am using traxxas top fuel i am using a a5 glow plug just came out of the package it die down when i let throttle try to idle and i tried so many other setting its not funny and sometime it dies at take off and i have had the engine for like 2 years but i only ran 1 gallon through it. i have absouloutkey no power at all and at top speed it lost atleast 10mph i have no clue what is wrong any 1 who had this problem and fixed it plzz tell me how. thanks .....nick

Frist, make sure you do like Vince said above and check to see if your head bolts are tight.

It sounds like you're running too rich. Try to lean out your HSN 1/4 turn at first and see if that improves your top speed. If not, take it in another 1/8 turn and check it out.

well I'm running in 30 degree weather what should i do ?? it overheats alot of the time and it takes like 15 minutes to cool down i run it for 2 min and bam it stalls then takes like 15 min to restart to cool down i dont kjnow what to do i think I'm gonna buy a picco p-15 is that a good engine for a small stadium truck ? and i want to do wheelies but i can't with a .12 engine what do i nedd for wheelies???

If it gets that hot that quick it really sounds like it's too lean and the engine is shutting down because of it.
Have you tried richening it?

pinch ??? what is that

He means is it difficult to bring the piston over top dead center by rolling the flywheel. A good nitro engine normally will be difficult to roll over top dead center by manually turning the flywheel because the piston fit inside the sleeve is very tight.

Did you break your engine in correctly? You always want to make sure you break engines in the right way. Don't goose the throtle or go top end the second you get the truck started. If you did break it in CORRECTLY, then the only problem that I see lies in the piston and sleeve.
