Hey my fellow enthusiast out there! I am just getting back to the sport after a 10 year layoff. I was a former clodlover but have been bitten by the gas bug. Can you all give me some advice on a RTR Nitro Monster truck in the $500 to $600 price range?

New Revo 3.3 #5309 comes with a 2.4 GHZ radio right out of the box, actually it comes with everything you need right out of the box, except fuel. This is just my opinion but the revo is the way to go

You gonna race, or are you gonna bash? For a basher you can not beat a Savage! Well you can actually, they take a beating and keep on going. To race you might want to consider a Revo.

Savage or LST, IMO they are the only MT's worth the money!

The savage is the way to go for bashing XL with the 5.9 and 3 speed is awesome, the engine is a little finicky but still a good fast runner. If you go with the 4.6 or 4.6 ss you will have enough $$ left over for a radio upgrade. Both great trucks.

Well I am thinking bashing to begin with but racing is definitely and option come spring given I have enough time and $ to make the necessary upgrades. Thanks All.

Just buy my Race Ready Revo...and have a roomful of spare parts ;-) Check the for sale forum! lol

Ok, gotta throw my two cents worth in. Buy a Losi LST XXL or Aftershock and be done with it. Yes, the Savage is a good basher, but the Losi is miles ahead in the race and radio departments. I have bashed the crud outta mine and have yet to do more damage than to pop off a rod end and tear the body up. It is a solid rig!
