RC Driving Style
Hi Guys, I need help. Am looking into buying so new tires and wheels for my brand new tmaxx 2.5 but what parts do I need to upgrade in order for my truck to run properly and the tires am looking to buy are the pro line big joes pre mounted on wheels.

I heard I need to upgrade the drivetrain so what do I need and yes I do need 17mm hex for the wheels

You're going to want a stronger steering servo and servo saver or spring, not sure what comes with them anymore. If you're still running the 2.5 engine the drivetrain should be ok as long as it's not worn out.

Imo man you should go with a smaller tire/wheel like the proline badlands, those joes are heavy,...but if you are completely sold on em....

Stock up on wheel bearings,
Much stronger steering servo with metal gears,
I like the ofna 17 hex's
You're going to want to drop down a tooth on the cb, or up on the spur 2

^^^ +1 on that. My stock savage 4.6 struggled when running the big joes. I can't ever see putting them on a tmaxx. Thats just my opinion.

Either go for the badlands as was mentioned before or another one i rather like are the shock waves they are a good all round tire and being proline means they last longer than the stock ones
everyone than i know has tried big Joes at one stage and all say that they are too heavy for a stock truck

Wish they offerd the joe #1 like they offer the badland!..how nice would that be huh
