can anyone tell me what each of these below parts are, and how they are suposed to work in relation to each other? the clutch bell rotates freely, so I'm not sure if it engages at a certain rpm or something, because if it works like it currently does, the engine will spin, and the car wont move.
thanks,
Ben

The clutch works from centrifugal force. The shoes contact the clutch bell at a certain rpm. Looks like your clutch is fine, but the picture is blurry. So I'm not sure. Spin your spur gear and see what moves. If the tires don't, work your way down the driveline until you find where the problem is. If the clutch bell doesn't move when you apply throttle, the clutch is in fact your problem.

yea, its my phones camera, and all of my youtube vids are the same, so I'm getting that a lot. anyways, when you turn the clutch bell, it turns everything from the drivetrain to the wheels, so thats fine(also when you turn the wheels, the clutch bell moves) i was just woried about the engine not being able to turn the clutch bell(and the wheels down the line)
anyways, thanks, i got kinda woried there

p.s. if it helps, il get anothe pic with my digital cam and put it here ater today, so come back

i don't really see anything wrong with your clutch shoes. try taking a piece of sandpaper and hitting up the inside of the clutch bell with it.

heres how a clutch works: your shoes are held down by that spring. as your engine rotates so do the clutch shoes. when the engine reaches a certain RPM the clutch shoes pull against the spring and create friction with the clutch bell that is on the outside of it.
make sure there is no buildup or film on the inside of the clutch bell of on the shoes.

will do

i think it was good all along, but i didnt want to start it and hve something go wrong. but that will probably help in performance anyway, so i will do that next chance.

Oh, I got you. I thought you had it running and it wasn't moving.

As mentioned, it will spin freely until the engine gets up to proper RPM and the centrifugal force overtakes the pressure of the spring.
