Help picking a motor for the BBX.

Good afternoon . I realize this is such a loaded question. Any recommendations on a powerful motor pinion combo for the bbx ? My rc10 has a 13.5t with a 19t pinion and it is so much fun to drive . Picked up a quicrun hobby wing 4000kv esc motor combo with a 22t pinion for the bbx and it’s such a dog . Any thoughts ?. .

27 tooth is what they did in this article with a 13.5.

My initial thoughts were something in the 13.5T~10.5T range, but you blew that idea out of my head. I would consider a 4000kv motor to be similar to a 9.5T motor. Plugging numbers into speed calc and even going conservative on the numbers (4v/cell, 84mm tires)... you should be able to hit the 30 MPH mark running a 4000kv with a 22T pinion. To me, 30 MPH for an off-road RC going over rough terrain is fast.

I appreciate your help . I have this motor coming for my rc10 so let’s see what happens . I feel my brother got a dud motor .
