i just wanna know, is the bottom screw for the high speed or for the top speed? cause my engine is running lean at high speed, only for like 10 seconds, and it's way too hot. but it's kinda bog down, sometimes shut of at start. so i'm guessing that the bottom end is way too rich, and the top end is wayyy to lean....what do you guys think?? btw, I AM a newbie at this tuning stuff, but i'm learning....thanks
 
Somewhere on this site is a great article for engine tuning. Hold on, I'll find it in a moment. But just as reference, the tall needle is the High Speed needle (HSN). It controls the fuel mixture from about 1/2 throttle to full throttle. The screw that's in the center of the throttle arm is the Low Speed Needle (LSN). That controls the fuel mixture from idle to about 1/2 throttle. The little black screw next to the carb inlet is the Idle Stop Screw (ISS). That's where you set your idle.
