I'm in the market for a new crawler. I already have a Capra and a TRX4. Both great rigs. The Capra seems to be more capable but the TRX4 is more fun for me overall. I like the 2 speed trans and selectable locking diffs. Problem is, the TRX4 is 'technically' the wifes. I want another for a trail rig. While I'm not set on either of these, I do have two in mind that I'm torn between. The SCX10 III and the new Traxxas 6x6 Hauler. I'm leaning toward the SCX10, and if so, I see 2 kit options. The jeep and the jeep truck. The truck has a longer wheel base but otherwise pretty much the same. I've never played with a 6x6 and in my head, it seems kinda bulky to be much of a crawler but maybe I'm wrong. Anyone have any input on either of these options or maybe something different? All of your input is greatly appreciated.

the traxxas 6x6 is great crawler. in my opinion well worth the money. the only other thing i would buy besides this is a trx-4.

trx-6 vs scx10, i would say the trx6 would preform better but it has alot of maintenance being a 6x6

I don't believe that Traxxas 6x6 hauler will be a good crawler. There's just too much space between the front and middle wheels.
Having own an SCX JLU and a TRX4 Defender, I feel the TRX4 is much better performer out of the box.

Trash6 is the ruler. It's a full on cheater rig once you drop some weight and give it real power

The vanquish was another I was considering but I really want a 2spd trans. Most crawler guys I see are not fond of the 2 speed so maybe I'm the odd man out. I just like the added realism.
I actually just keep my Defender in the high gear since it slow crawls just as well as the low gear.

The Mercedes body is way too top heavy to perform. I haven't had a chance to see the new flatbed yet. It looks good on the interwebs, though!

The new hauler is longer.
If you have a capra and trx4 maybe build a trx6. I have a couple build videos on how to make it awesome without breaking the bank. If money is tight and you want to build something Amain has the Element Gatekeeper kit for 219$. You might find a coupon for 15$ off as well. Its a great rig to build something out of or turn it into an Ecto. Gatekeeper stock is not a great performer with the heavy cage...

Great video's bud. Thanks for sharing. Its hard for me to find rocks like that in my area. Looks like fun.

I ordered a TRX6 yesterday. Today, I get an email from Amain showing the vanquish pheonix kit on sale for $399 o_O. Seems like a pretty good deal. Now I just gotta figure out how to launder another 4 bills past the wife.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I really appreciate yall!
