Hi guy's.
I need a new engine for my buggy.
I've done my research, and need more info that I could not find the answers to.

The engines that I'm interested in.

RB WS7 II

RB C5 buggy

Novarossi p5

Rex p5n

Anyone have input or other suggestions?

I would appreciate it.

I love the WS72, there is a WS72X3 version out now.

Yes. I think they did something with screw location.

I dont know but lets see if we can answer the question for both of us so i dont have to post a new thread. Hope you dont mind ratzo. Lookin to spend about 200-250. Thanks guys.

If it was me I would get the Novarossi P5, just cause I like Novarossi the best lol. I have never run any of those engines but I really like my Collari B3, the B7s are great for long tracks.

Whats wrong with that Sirio ratzo?

Shaft bearing gave way and it sucked air in.
I took it off the track and had a nice temp of 350.
It was probably running hotter than that.
P&S are shot.
1 quart through it.

The new RB WS7 has a different carb. too I believe...

I would like to reccomend one of those engines, but I have NEVER used any of those, but I have seen the RB and P5 in action and I always get 'high' w/ envy when I see a guy runnin an RB....lol.

One of my friends with a bad sense of humor sent me a link for a JP racing, JP FX B-8T MODIFIED.
Runs about $440.

I really like JP engines, but it's a big hunk of $$

Damn that sucks, you can't send her back and get it replaced? Sounds like a defect to me.

Sounds like a defect to me as well.
If been doing this for some time now. I know better than to run too hot.

I emailed Sirio. (waiting for a reply)
We'll see what happens.

If they replaced the piston, bearing and sleeve, that would be great.
If they don't, I will probably have something to say about it.

They should definetely replace it for you. I bet it wasn't running 350 when the bearing went. And that surprises me from an Italian engine especially with only a quart on it. Good luck.

Suprised me too! I was running 235-245.
It seems that after the bearing went, the shaft pushed in, and the flywheel was pushing against the case.

And I'll need all the luck I can get with the replacement.
I have a feeling that i'm gonna eat this one, so i'm prepared for the worst.

I don't know what you paid for that Sirio, but it was at least 250 and when you pay that for an engine you expect it to last, there is no reason you should not get a replacement but sometimes companies don't see it that way. Good luck with it. I hear good things about those RB C5s aswell.

I paid $320 last year, but didn't run it until now.

The price has come down some since.

Well here is the basics of these mills...

WS7-2 good low end when piped and clutched right and great top end

C-5BB They have made improvements to the old c-5 it now has better low end then it had, but the hiend is just stupid. Nothing that is stock will wind up like the c5.

Novarossi p5 Rex p5n
Both of these mill are the same with the exception of the big rear bearing. nova, rex, and top are all novarossi made with a different name, like chevrolet and gmc. Both have stupid low end, but lack some up top. I'm told a 086 pipe will help that, but mill still runs like a dream

There is also the nova based 421b witch is a great low end and good top end mill.

the 421b is awsome.....
I don't see a real big lack in top end on my P5....I actually hold it down against the RB WS7-2......but I run a small track and the P5 is just the ruler on those....
What is your track like? Long straights or real technical?.....
I'd say P5 or 421 if you like screamers......the 421 seems more finickey than the P5 to me though...more techno weeny head shimming adj. seems to be the trick w/ it.....

need to know what kinda track your running before we can recommend the right mill for it.

I hear the Trinity Sirio .21 Kanai Evolution 2 Buggy Engine is awesome. Let me know if you want one, I can get you a good deal.
