The C5 has crazy top end power, I don't know how much better the BB version is low end wise.

The WS7 will give loads of low end and decent top end.

ofna buggy racer: your track is a perfect cantidate for a ws7-2, or a P5 with a top end pipe and 1 more tooth clutchbell than you normally run. C5 is too much motor for most tracks in the US. the 421B can be finicky to tune if your not used to it.

I hear the Trinity Sirio .21 Kanai Evolution 2 Buggy Engine is awesome. Let me know if you want one, I can get you a good deal.

You should read the whole thread.
Thats the engine that I blew apart after a quart.
Thanks, but no thanks.

Corrado, It's a big ass track. Not very technical, very long strait.

all current P5's are the same. the new designation is P5x, the older designation was P5. the difference was the older P5 was a 2004 model that had a lightened and filled crank and the higher end 3 needle carb. the newer P5x has a solid crank and 2 needle carb. both are good, i drive a P5, but lots of guys are saying the new P5x actually drives smoother. Ratzo, WS7-2 for sure or a modded P5. your choice. if it were me, and money didnt matter id go with an EB mod P5. I've seen them run in person, actually watched Ed drive his own and the damn thing screams like a banshee. much nastier than any RB motor at the track.

OFNA, as far as price is concerned, I'm sure you can shop around. we all know ebay has some great deals. i bought my P5 on there last year for 220 NIB.

Dang 220 you got a deal. Sounds good hope i get enough race time in so i can win the next cash dash. So it looks like the engine for me is the Novarossi p5. Thanks alot guys.

Thanks for the help guy's.

Corrado. Very nice description.
That helps.
But now the big Q.

Modded P5, or JP 8 port mod??

Hottinger Mod......Screams like a banshee being raped by an scalded ass ape....yeah that's about what it sounds like...I swore a jet was landing on our track when someone ran that......moore had a modded 421 that was the absolute most unbeleivable engine I've ever seen in a buggy......if you are real techno abou tyour stuff and want unreal power get that....

Oops sorry, it was buried in the bylines. Me and Diver6127 bought this engine for our EB4s, are we in for surprises?

Well Sirio could have given me enough thought to at least send me a return email. They have not! (not yet anyway)
It was a manufacturer defect.
The front bearing let go, and sucked air in through the seal on the bearing.

I don't know if this was a rare thing, but my engine is toast.

I'll send them another email.
If they don't respond this time, I will be done with them for good.

id go with the P5 mod over the JP mod. and whether is an EB mod or HOTT mod. its a toss up, but those are the only 2 guys id consider buying a mod motor from. maybe call each of them and ask how they mod the motor to perform, then make your decision based upon that.

plaid, i dont know about you, but i prefer a pissed off screaming banshee, to a banshee crying in pain from ape ****.

They make great products.
Just not what i'm looking for.

Corrado if you heard it you'd understand...I may not like the sound but damn it was F'ing fast.....I had no idea you could set up a buggy that well...it put all that power into the dirt instantly like it had hard spikes digging the whole time.....I have a fairly fast buggy but that thing made everyone elses look stupid in comparison.....next time I see him run at mills I'm copying his setup for sure.....

V-Spec? I know you are a little hesitant about Sirio's right now, but how about that mill?

And not to argue, but the first time the Trinity Sirio Kanai name for the engine was brought up was not by you, Ratzo, but by the suggestion of the later post. I was wondering, too, what Sirio mill you blew up, until later in the thread it was revealed. Could it be the Siro was weakened by the Trinity mods?
