Hello all,

Pretty new to the hobby, I bought my first little car recently, a Range Rover FCX24M, and instantly loved it.

I want to buy another truck now.. haha but I am limiting myself to just one more, for now.

The goal is to buy something a bit more capable, but that still looks pretty good. I have narrowed it down to the CRP18 Evo Pro Juice Up or the HPI Venture 18. I am finding it incredibly difficult to decide between the two, they both look great, would love some opinions!

Cheers!

I think it comes down to what you want more, performance or looks. The CR18P Juice up is the more capable of the two while the Venture is the more scale looking.

Thanks! On performance alone, do you think there is a significant difference between the two?

Welcome to RCTALK.COM!!! 😎👍
These are pretty small trucks, and you can only drive one at a time. If you bought both, it would almost be like you only bought only one. 🤔🤣
I'm not a crawler guy but knowing how r/c goes. I say buy the one thats on sale now, buy the other when its on sale later. 😉👍

Mind you this is just an educated guess because I don't have the Venture, but I would say yes. The Juice Up is set up more comp style than the Venture. I know the Venture is currently getting good reviews, but I attribute that to it being the flavor of the month new release. I take a lot of reviews with a grain of salt. they are trying to build thier numbers up rather than be honest. I'm not saying the venture isn't a good rig, but almost every new release as touted as the one to beat. I have a lot of different brands of mini crawlers and straight out of the box, the CR18P is the most capable.

Thanks for the welcome! I suspect this may be how it goes in the long run... haha. The 'official' line for now is one more truck!

I had similar feelings after watching a few Youtube 'reviews', nobody seemed to have a bad word to say at all! Sounds like the Juice Up may be the better option for me, it comes off the back of a truck which has been around a bit longer and seems to be well liked!

If your looking for performance it's the right choice. The only real complaint I would have is that the wheels look a little toy like because they are plastic. But that's an easy fix.

youtube reviewers are basically paid advertisements for the products, i do reviews on led lights, company A sends me a messege asking me to buy light A, i do , then i write a POSITIVE review of the product company A gives me my money back, but it shows you my review on amazon with the VERIFIED PURCHASE tag lit up so you assume its a more honest review... nope i want more free satuff so i always giver them glowing reviews.
if i give an HONEST review it would be dont waste your money on this product. but then i dont get free stuff... then a dilema is created as i am encouraged to write a carefully worded review where i dont lie, but i still try to influence you to make this purchase... dont trust reviews, none of us here are paid. you get HONEST REVIEWS here,

i dont have any experience with ewither of those rc's you mentioned but i have SEEN the juice up version and it LOOKS really cool, id presonally go with whatever @Doom! suggests on a 24th scale truck, he has more of them than anyone i know, and his advice comes from the desire to have you be happy with whatever choice you make, youtubers advice comes from their pocket which will be affected by saying o no this things a pos and breaks when you look at it. instead they will highlight anything other than the actual weaknesses.

I totally agree with youfool reviews.
Sometimes you get and honest review of ok and better products...
You rarely get fully honesty about a bad product.

Here, we'll hammer ANYONE!!! 🤣🤣🤣

when i look for a review on a product i go for the low quality videos from a guy like myself who is gonna just say what he feels regardless of consequences, the sponsored channels all say the same things, but say someone like https://www.youtube.com/@StillPlaysWithTrucks
or https://www.youtube.com/@BreydonsRC
they are going to have an honest review cause they had to pay for their trucks
