Necessity is the mother of invention as the saying goes. I have some physical limitations, and pt appointments so the medical professionals can pretend they are helping. Motions like raking to continue to flatten the dirt oval out back are things I have been trying to figure out how to avoid.

obviously this time of year some de-icing would help....one thing at a time.
As I stare at the 1rc sprint car waiting for spring, the maintenance of the track has been a concern.
I have no idea if it will work, but we are gonna find out.
I ordered a pulling hitch for my Ascent 18 crawler. Also picked up some other bits here and there outside the rc industry. Now for less than 30 bucks I have pieced together a drag rake that hopefully will let me drive while leveling high spots. Yet not so agressive it digs down and makes it look like I am trying to till the soil fir gardening.

I still have room to add more weight if I need it. Turning radius looks more than adequate.

Spikes on the back are around 1 inch.

I may have to make some adjustments to the truck to get the best performance, but in this case...do what ya gotta do.

Ha. Fooled me. Reading the title, I expected to see an RC drag racing car when opening this thread.

But RC track maintenance caught me off-guard. What a cool idea. Hope it works out well for your dirt oval and lightens the physical load on your back. What's next? A watering rig behind the Ascent? ;)

Looking forward to seeing some vids of 1/18 sprint action on your track come spring. Cheers. -AC

There will be video of the drag and the sprint in action. My back is mediocre. Both shoulders have no medical intervention outside of full replacement. Unfortunately I pushed hard enough in life to be here 20 years early so no surgeon wants to touch anything. Raking high spots has been passed on to redcat at this time!

I will say this is the first time I have been even mildly disappointed with something from hackfab. Based on the pics I expect it an advertising error. Maybe old wording from the first version of the hitch etc. The ad clearly state the center of the hitch is machined aluminum....it appears to be 3d printed plastic.
