The seller says its a Traxxas, but I'm not so sure.....

It is NOT a Traxxas ,seller was smoking something!..

Not sure ,but looks like a Duratrax Raze ,the head looks like a Duratrx .27!..

I doubled check to confirm ,an it is a Raze ,there is plenty of spare parts for that on E-bay!..

The seller wants $62 for it! Me thinks this is too much. The car is pretty old and looks kinda beat up. Missing the air filter ect ect.

What do you guys think is a good amount for a buggy in this condition? Servo's could be shot and who knows what condition that engine is in.

You can offer 50 bucks ,but I wouldnt touch it because what parts are being sold for it ,is double
the price of what the parts was sold for new years ago!..

I agree with Baker offer 50$ ask if engine has compression first. If it does you should be able to get it to fire up
Who said it was a TRX they are definitely smoking something haha

I would say 50 for not running and 70 if it can run

I also need help identifying what generation t max.. The axles I have measure 6 3/4 inch wich is 171mm center of dog bone to center I have 4 7/8 I can’t find a set that will fit in. Also the car was given to me it doesn’t have reverse. When I got it it had the motor in the pic in it

Thanks for the response but that doesn’t help me. I was driving it till I bent an axle but can’t find a replacement I tried the 5451R axles and they are to long.

i could make you custom universal axles in whatever length as long as it is not larger than 8mm in diameter
i think those might be Hot Bodies, i have one i can measure

The transmission end measures 5.65 and tire side is 3.95
The front and back are the same length

So this car is still up for sale. I just offered the guy $33.50 for it. Around ZAR500. He dropped his price from $64.99 to $51.99, but looking at it again, I went with the $33.50 offer. If he accepts, cool. If not, no skin off my back.

But this sort of nitro is what I've been looking all over for to do a cool "bring back to life" job on it. Real barn find/found in the back of the garage type thing. These finds are super scarce where I live. LOL

It will become like a semi Sunday cruiser/shelf queen after bedazzling it a bit.

Might want to start your own thread if you haven't. If you do, link to it from here. Wouldn't mind seeing more photos of your maxx that show the entire top/bottom of the chassis. It may be a .15 pro maxx, which was the first version. It had shorter arms which used narrower cvd's/axles than the 2.5 and now 3.3 maxx.
