you only need one charger but i would recomend getting a tamiya tt-01 over the E-10. The main reason is that the center driveshaft is plastic and i have heard it vibrates like crazy even with the stock motor. There isn't much of an aftermarket for it either.

A 1500 won't last very long, maybe 10-15 minutes would be my guess. If you don't want to go with lipo then i would suggest the maxamps 4700 nimh packs. I just picked one up for a little over 70 shipped. As far as lipo goes, i run a maxamps 5000Hv in my brushless TC5 and i have yet to drain the battery. I ran for a solid 30-40 minutes the other day and i was around 7.2V when i was done.

Lets see, so thats a little under $300.
I know you can get a TT-01 for a little over $150 from horizon hobby and then $70 for a battery. Thats plenty left for a decent charger.

This was my first charger and i loved it.

thats going to be a little over your budget but you can find a different charger somewhere i am sure. You will also want to change your plugs over to deans ultra but that should get you running

I'm not familiar with the UK sites, but if I were you I would see what kind of deal you can find on ebay. I use maxamps for all my LiPo stuff, but they can't compete with the prices of nimh on ebay. For example, this is one of the best deals that I've found on batteries. It's a Venom 5000 mah stick pack for $50 shipped. That's almost half price for what they're selling for in the hobby shops.

I tried looking at the site that you listed for good deals on batteries, but the layout sucks for comparing prices and searching for certain categories. If you can find some better online shops from the UK I would be glad to help you out and try to find the ebst deals on batteries and chargers for you.

On that HPI battery that you listed with a link, I think 10-15 minutes is a lil high, I'm thinking it will be more like 5-10 minutes if you're lucky. I would try to find something in the 3000 mah range or better. I know you can buy the Venom 3300 mah batteries on ebay for under $25 shipped.

I am a little leery of the venom batteries. I have heard more than oine story about them not really lasting that long. I was guessing 10-15 since that E-10 probably comes with some fairly weak stock electronics. Its been awhile since i had a 1500 pack tho. haha

Well I'm no expert and I was just making a guess based on the other stuff that I've had. With my 20 turn Rustler I was getting about 5 minutes out of a battery a lil bigger than that, so I figured since it was an on-road with a smaller motor he would get a lil more time, which would be like 5 to 10 minutes. flm savage I know that you know your on-roads and I'm not trying to argue at all, just make a guess. I didn't want him to buy the car and be upset when he was expecting 15 minutes and only got 5 lol.

I guess I'm lucky because my Venom's have done well. However, I know they're not up to the same quality as the maxamps ones, but I use them for my bashers because they're plenty fine for that and a lot cheaper. maxamps is definitely the way to go if money isn't an issue though. Heck, I very rarely use my nimh anymore, it's nothing but LiPo for me. If you can run LiPo in that car, you could get a decent sell for around the same price as that maxamps 4700.

I agree, you should get a TT-01. But if you're going to go with a E10, get these:
If you want drift:

If you want standard:

Batteries:

Charger:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXRST9&P=7

The total is under $300 (Which is about 150 pounds.) I would say about $263.97 is the total excluding shipping and taxes. You can use the discount codes for this too, I just don't have them.

haha, its all good man. i know you aren't trying to argue. Everyone has a different experience and believes different things. (Start a thread about what nitro is of the highest quality and see what happens  )
There really is no right answer in this case.
I think the weight of the car plays a role too. Those onroads are soo soo light and the tires weigh next to nothing. You can just blow on the trigger and its taking off. So i guess to finalize it, your runtime is dependant on your index finger. somewhere between 5 and 15 minutes.

My friend bought a integy 5000 2cell lipo for is xxx-t with a mamba 6400 brushless system and i think he was maybe getting a half an hour on it. About 15 minutes in it lost a quarter of it power.

Do you realize how much run time a half hour is with a racing setup like that? I have a similar system and a similay battery, I'll have to run them and see what my runtime is, but I'm not expecting any more than what your friend got. That mamba is a very powerful system. I don't know about losing power in 15 minutes, that may be a problem. A year or two ago, guys racing electrics were really lucky to get 5 minutes out of a high quality race pack. Now we're pulling 30 minutes in some of the mot powerful systems out there. I think it's amazing. I'm getting an hour and a half in my 2S 2000 mah LiPo in my crawler with a brushless setup.

yea, well with a crawler I'm sure wheel speed and how much you're into the throttle make a lot of difference. I've yet to drain a battery. I ran my battery for almost an hour the first time, and I was worried that my votage cutoff wasn't working so pulled the battery. When I cycled it I learned that I hadn't even used half of it, so I figured that I was good for at least an hour and a half. Now I'm wanting to do some testing though and see how long I actually get out of a charge.

well it sounds like he got a bad battery. I would say that he should talk to the company about a replacement, but it's integy and he would do better by simply calling you, and then you can tell him that "you don't care about your customers and it's his fault because the product was misused. " I'm not saying that he misused it, but I know what it's like to try and contact integy about a bad product. If he calls you he will get the same results, but it wont be nearly as frustrating because he wont have to wait for weeks for his ticket to be pulled.
