Hey guys... I've been in the hobby for about a year... i started out with an electric stadium truck, quickly moved int nitro statium trucks because of speed. ok well anyway... i now have a hpi MT2 and a hpi rs4. i need help choosing an engine for both of these. for the mt2. i just want it to be fast as hell. and for the rs4.. it has been my project for the past few months that i have peiced together... would i be able to get away with dropping the t15 from my mt2 into that and just get a new one for the truck... or is there one that i should think bout getting for it... id appriciate any help... thanks

Since your a new guy. Engine tuning probably isnt that easy for you anything os should give u enough pep and ull get the most reliable driving out of any of the other motors.

For the MT2 i reccomend the XTM .18. You'll need to buy a rear exhaust header and other than that its a direct drop in. My friend has one in his origional MT and that thing hauls some major ass!

You'll need this: http://hobbypeople.net/gallery/146002.asp

and this: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000542896&I=LXFAZ8&P=K

and you'll have a wicked fast MT. Don't be worried about how cheap this engine is, it is a very fast engine and my friend drove it in a sand pit and forgot to put filter in! He cleaned it out and still runs great. Definetely a high quality engine.

thanks.. you wouldnt be able to guess how fast would you... with the stock motor it went a little over 40.. and anyone got n e thign for the car and or the truck...

Well, as for top speed it wouldn't much faster because the gearing would be the same. What the new engine would do is get you to the topspeed much faster. You can either add more teeth to the clutchbell or less teeth to the spur gear. Basically the closer you get to a 1:1 ratio the faster your topspeed will be. Becareful though, the higher top speed you have the slower it will get there.

As for the car, it would be harder to put in the .18, you have to do a little cutting for it to fit. You could drop the T-15 in there if you wanted or you get something with a little more grunt youo could go with an O.S. engine.
