Hello I am new to RC and looking for help

Ok found a lhs and stopped in today and asked about the 2 trucks he carrys both and parts for both. He recommend I get a Jato since I have never used a nitro r/c before due to it being cheaper. Is the jato a good r/c and how dose it stack up aginst the revo it know its not a same to same comparison but i wanna know like 2wd vs 4wd pro's and con's. and stuff like that.

Thanks,
Dan

Also dose the jato have reverse?

This is bad advise IMO. I see a lot of people start with an RC that they really didn't want at first but someone suggested it was a good starter car/truck They are usually not satisfied and end up spending more in the long run. Think about it from the hobby shops point of view....You went in there wanting an MT he talks you into a Jato then a month down the road he is waiting for you to come back and buy the MT, he just sold two rc's instead of one. The Jato is fast but doesn't handle the off road like a monster truck and the 2 wheel drive is good for donuts but thats about it, it's actually harder to control a two wheel drive with that much power. If you want a monster thats what you should start with, the learning curve with an MT will be the same as with a stadium truck. I can't think of any stadium truck that has reverse, but reverse is overrated IMO I installed a FOC before I ever started my Revo.

Be smart and buy once!

get a savage........very durable......I've never had a problem with my diffs but i have the 4gear type after i upgraded that

I've driven both and also owened a Tmaxx. The revo is a nice stared as is the savage. They do have the new savage x ss wich has aluminum diff's, the 4.6and a few other nice update's. T Maxx biggest peace of junk I ever owned, I could look at it wronge and it would break. if you have it down to the revo and savage eather are great trucks IMO. if ya go savage go the new x ss. also dont let someone talk you into a rc that you didnt want, get what you want youll be more happy in the long run.
