Yeah Radd's is a staple for a beginning heli owner. The other must read-before-you-buy much less FLY is the Electric Helicopter Beginner's Guide, nearly 50 pages of must-read stuff for any heli owner.

Radd's and the link in rocknbil's post are probably the 2 most referenced beginner's materials I see. All great information. Many many pilots have claimed excellent training with both.

I see you are boning up, that is the very best thing to do, as I find flying the helis the most challengeing thing I have tried to master....no kidding.
