i don't do Halloween. didn't like it as a kid. like it even less as an adult. eat pizza, play video games or watch a classic horror movie and ignore it, i don't even pass out candy.

On my hood we would hold him at gun wanting chick fil a. Tell him to watch the hood he's in.

Last year was the first year we got a trick or treater in the 20 or so years we've lived here. We live on a busy street but it threw us off that we didn't get any when we first moved in. This year spending Halloween with Mrs. Doom at the hospital.

Actually they have been trying to send her home, but they haven't taken care of things that need addressing first, like pain management. Looks like they might try to get rid of her tomorrow but we will see. Her current attending physician is a putz.

Went out with the slash. Every year it seems like fewer and fewer people treating and fewer and fewer people tricking.
I didn't go treating. I already had a couple brownies today so I guess I good.
Most of the people stay on the more popular roads near the school down the street. They don't bother coming to our court which is near the exit of the community.
Did 1 pack in the rustler and 1 pack in the slash. Light held up. Although I had to adjust it multiple times. Held on by 2 zip ties to the bumper since one spliced right off lol. People liked it. Next year if I do anything RC related for Halloween I am just gonna get an actual led light kit.

Well since Halloween is almost over and November is a couple hours away, who getting out their Christmas stuff???

There probably is not much of a connection here, but I noticed the decline in people participating in Halloween at the same time I saw brick-and-mortar (including malls)stores start to decline

Lets face it, the next few generations are digital kids, they don't go out and have no social skills.

We had 300-400 kids show up. It's a big thing in our town. The parents get dressed up as well. Had a blast doing it.

Outside the commercials Halloween is basically entirely dead in Europe. I really hope the US keeps their tradition

Here there were too many outsiders driving Suburbans full of 'kids' into the neighborhood just to Trick or Treat.

Now the HOA has a block party where they block off one street and it moves around each year. Lots of treats for the kids. Much less hassle for the rest of the neighborhood.

Luckily, my subdivision is on a long, fairly steep grade and each home sits on 2 acres of land, so not really worth the effort for a mere 26 homes.

We got the same two kids show up that show up every year, two out of 13 grand kids and no neighborhood kids so we don't bother.
We make up a bag of goodies for my two monsters and we're done.
