The video is completely edited. I just have to add the soundtrack and generate some web friendly variants. I am right on schedule for releasing it tomorrow.
After trimming some or as much fat as I could without tanking the vid...35 minutes is the end result. Almost 99.9% action.

The big screen? Any web friendly version of this vid is not going to translate well to the big screen. We'll see how you like the small screen version. Then we can talk about getting you a big screen version that will represent well. First dibs go to those that were there...
You would be surprised as to how clear some of these come out on a vcd. I don't have a dvd burner, so I have to settle for vcd.
Like those vids at trilordy. I've burned some of those to a vcd and they come out clear as a bell on the tv.

The video is now complete.
The soundtrack is kind of on the alternative side, so when I post it do not comment. I was in one of those moods...so if you don't like the tunes, then turn the volume off.
The final video is 33:37 long is comprised of over 150 clips (95% of which are action shots...the other shots are comedic in nature).
It will take me some time to render the video into web friendly presentation...so don't expect any links until tomorrow (as promised...Happy 4th of July).

Sky, I must say that this 14 page thread has got me hyped up. I finally found some good software to edit my quicktime videos. So I am going to try my luck at producing a nice quality vid. It definitely won't be 30 min, but I'm shooting for at least 10 min.

The video version that I am going to share with you is not the greatest quality for either audio or video, but it is reasonable. The video is not even remotely dial up friendly.
Here are the specs:
- File length: 59.3MB
- Resolution: 240x180 best if viewed at that size...just adjust the resolution of your monitor to 800x600 to get a better viewing.
- File type: .MOV file format (sorry, you will need the quicktime viewer for this one)
- Movie length: 33minutes and 37 seconds (33:37)
- Content: Just about every jump culled from three separate video tapes that covered almost five hours of the bash. There are some humorous bits and some non-jump footage.
- Key time indexes:
03:30 SkyMaxx slo-mo transfer (huge jump)
10:06 SkyMaxx slo-mo transfer that looks un-recoverable
10:26 SkyMaxx doesn't make the transfer so well good slo-mo tumble at the end
14:36 MilitaryMaxx slo-mo donuts up close
16:52 Killabhz slo-mo Savage meets the only pole that is a hazard during a transfer
17:14 EP's big jumps (slo-mo and alternate views) two minute segment

awesome vid with some damn good editing, but the version you gave us is such TINY resolution. can't you do something with 480x360 at least? PLEASE, it's an an awesome vid otherwise

If you change your monitor resolution in the fashion that I recommended, you can see it larger without much loss in quality.
As for producing larger sizes, I am in the process of working out the compression issues so that I can give a larger size without too much extra file length. As it is now, a 320x240 with mpeg-4 coding (which allows for full screen viewing without any degrade) is over 300MB in size. It took me nearly a half hour to produce and upload the 59MB version you are able to see. It will take me longer to upload the 300MB version and you even longer to download.
If I get enough requests for it, I'll put it up in that format. Until then, I ask for more patience as I try and come out with something larger screen-wise and smaller file-szie.
For those that are interested in a better quality video, let me know what your threshold for pain is. Huh? As in how large a file are you willing to download? I just ran through a couple of larger display sizes. The 480x360 with average video quality and average audio came up to 182MB. The 320x240 with a little better video quality and the same audio is processing at the moment, and I predict it will be in the 90-120MB range.
Just let me know what you want, and as long as my server can handle the storage...I'll put them up for you. But they will not be able to stay there long as I do have limits on my domain's storage and throughput..

Glad you liked it...am crunching version number five right now. So far, I am hitting a thresh-hold of about 180MB for an improved video quality and display size. I can get it down, but the display size becomes worthless as the video quality goes into the shitter.
I may just dump the 180MB version onto the server and let those that want it...download it.
Another update...just crunched a 97MB MPEG-4 variant. I am uploading it now and will post a link as soon as it is done. The quality and size are a little better than the previously posted version, but it added 44MB in file size...the trade-offs are a bitch sometimes...
