Brought out the Mutilator today, haven't touched any of my trucks in probably a month or so. But I just got a new fuel tank, fuel lines, and an RD Logistics pipe to mate up with my Losi 454. Screwed around for a while, till she got warmed up, got her tuned, think I pretty much nailed it.

I was making some speed runs up and down the street when it just stopped. Now when I say stopped, I mean, full throttle, to all four locked up tight, dead stop in three feet. Walked over, looked at it, no fuel lines. Oh wait, there they are, wrapped around the spur gear and center diff! I pulled out two lines, in four pieces.

Off to the hobby shop this weekend. That was brand new fuel line, just a hair over 3/4 tank. Lol, it's fun when you own enough RCs that you can laugh when you break something so petty.

I guess it could be a Duh moment, but really, the lines weren't anywhere near the spur, and they were clipped.

Well, that explains how they ended up in the spur. Didn't you know that the parts farthest from the spur end up in it. :D

Spewin..

I've been waiting for that to happen to me..
My Ezy start wires sit or end up close to the spur...

I had something like that happen but not as severe. Mine died....in the middle of a high speed run but lucky it did not get all tied up in the gear like yours but killed off the fuel....and I was done for the day...

Your lucky your still alive! It could have sucked you in there and beat you to death!

I had something like that happen once... running at WOT and all the sudden, dead. Turns out mine was a snapped crankshaft. A friend of mine had a couple cases of that, his both ended up being con-rods... lol

It's very rare that something that is so aggravating and so costly is what you would call a "hobby". The good days are when it is something so trivial. I take a few feet of fuel line with me when I bash... some day my problems will be so small! And when they are, I'M READY!!!
