Had a idea - harbor freight flashlight

Had one of those cheap harbor freight flash lights laying around. I think they were like 99 cents. Well I took it apart and got the main light bar out of it. Decided to wire it up to a servo extension. I just cut off the signal wire. Light worked, and was bright for like 2 seconds before half of the LEDs went out. Kinda figured 6v was a bit too much. Was worth the try though.

Think those are 3v light strips. You would need a resistor wired inline with it, depending on the voltage needed.

dont use a resistor use the correct Zienier diode..for the voltage you need..

you can buy a box from amazon that has many voltages in it.

A Zienier diode is complete overkill for such a task. Using a resistor is simpler, cost-effective, and adequate for this purpose.

You might be able to run two 3v light strips in series on 6v. Then the voltage should be divided in half giving each light strip 3volts.
