i want a Super Nitro rally kit but my dad wants a savage ss kit are they depedable? how much are they? and how fast? I'm new at this

they are completely different vehicles. Where do you have to run? If you have more off road places to run, go with the Savage, which can also be used on road. If you have more big wide open flat places like parking lots, then go with the on road tc. There are a few weaknesses with the Savage right off, the diffs are weak, seems like a lot of people are destroying diffs in these things, myself included. I personally don't know much about the super rs4, I have an RS4 3, but I would suggest a regular tenth scale tc if you go on road, TC3, RS43 ss, something along those lines. The super uses 300mm bodies, as well as other odd sized parts that you will most likely have to get from mail order, as I have never seen a hobby shop with any type of selection of parts for the super. The super rally will let you go on gravel, hard pack flat dirt, but won't give you the off road caopabilities of the Savage.

My brother has a Super Nitro Rally. The car is ok.As NCNitro said, they are two different r/c's and if you really want to go off road, the Savage is the way to go. If you want to go on gravel and baseball parking lots, the SNR is the way to go.

From what I've seen and experienced on the SNR, the dog bones bend easily and will get thrown easily. It's a hog of a car, meaning the .15 will get it moving but it will take a while. First thing to do is ditch the Nitrostar .15 that comes with it and get an OS .15cvr-x (just my suggestion, good bang for the buck).

Also, don't rule out getting a buggy. Lots of speed in those things and more off road capabilities than the SNR.

speed

I have a ofna 1.8 buggy.I herd the cars were fast .i want a car but i dont want to lose off road abilty. but dose the SNR have off road abilty. i want to put .21 conversion in the car. I'm A SPEED FRAEK!!!!!!

He is a freak don't know about speed freak just freak .SAVAGE SS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!

The SNR is fast when NOT using the engine that comes with it. As I said, get an OS 15 cvr-x (at least), then it'll be fast. There are kits that allow .21's to be used in it but honestly, the spider gears will fail if not modified.

Off road, well, depend what you will be doing. It can take bumps and jumps, to a point. Nothing like a buggy, but it does handle well on moderate off road tracks. It's a rally car in every sense. At least when on-road, you won't have the clearance issues of a 1/10th touring car.

my supernitro is my favorite car . i wouldnt put a 21 in it though, if i were you i would put a nice 18 in it. I'm flirting with about 60 mph with my fantom 15. and if you're driving a supernitro RALLY, you arent going to be able to turn at speed because the center of gravity is pretty high. the snR is good for dirt, but mostly just smoothe dirt like a baseball field type thing. some small jumps are good, but if you are looking for performance like you would get out of a buggy or stadium truck , then you hsould invest in a buggy or stadium truck. I loved my savage till i sold it, i bashed it too hard thinking it was "bullet proof" and sadly it wasn't, and being in college i can't always afford parts and shipping (no lhs here). i sold it to someone on this forum and he loves it.

I will sell you a super nitro rally For $100.00. It needs a dogbone and a pullstarter. It is got a Aftermarket big head and a OS rotary carb.

pics

You got any pics and info of the car. ( how old is the car etc) why are you selling it?

I do not know how old the car is.I bought it of of a guy used.I ran it for about 1hour b4 i lost the dogbone and broke the pullstart (i pulled it out to far)It does not have a bodie.I do not have pics. But i will see if i can get some on here tomarro.I have a digital camera but i do not know how to use it?

to fix the pull start, put it back on (or leave it on) the motor, and turn the flywheel backwards and it will reel in the pullstart and it will be fixxed. then learn to spell and speak.
