The LST2 is rough as hell, I want a project but not an pain in my back. You guys can't help me out any? The Mammoth is looking great and he has the weak points taken care of. But dang I wanted that savage I can't beleave I was a day late on getting that. Any 1/8th scale rollers for a nice 2.5 maxx.

In the long run you will be happier with a LST(2). The Savvy needs A LOT of work to be race capable anyway so unless it was way modded you are better off without it. The LST series is as close to race ready as an RTR can get. If it already has sway bars then you are ready to go. Plus, the JR radio system is an even better reason to go Losi!

How rough is rough? Help you out with?

IMO the LST is an underrated ride. The initial introduction of them was so hyped up but so many were ready for a Savage beater rig. I have a few LST's and all have handled superb. They took my awesome jumping and immediately landing wrong in every possible way. Stop thinking of the savage if it is no longer available. You talk about the LST2 and Mammoth. I have wrenched both. Granted the Mammoth is a pan chassis which makes wrenching easy. BUT the Mammoth is inferior to the LST2. Too many issues with the Center diff and support is limited since it has been redesigned.

Take a look at the LSTs...

I almost bought a mamoth a while back and heard the same things about the chassis being as strong as a spaghetti noodle turned me away. I think u can get a better chassis for them but id also vote for LST or look on your local Cragislist for a savvy

The guy with the Mammoth swears by them and has all the weak spots covered and has a roll cage for more chassis strength. Man I would rather have the LST thats what I meant by saying "Help you out with? " No body has a LST roller for a damn nice T MAXX RTR and driven lightley 2.5. I think I am going to do the mammoth st, it seems straight and those who have them love them they handle well and are fast. And I dont grive the mess out of my rigs cause those who no my situation no I can not chase a flipped rig without flipping myself,WHICH SUCKS. And the Mammoth is low center of gravity and wide.So I have to talk to LOSIASSOATED#! to check once more on a LST2. Thanks guys and I no what to watch for.

You seem set on this Mammoth, go for it. I read all the Racernine articles a while. back. If the guy has done the work like racernine shows it might be OK.
I totally forgot about the chasing things down to flip them thing bro. I think the low and wide Mammoth would be a better ride for you.

Yhea thanks guys so much foe all the info. The mammoth does seem well put together and all and if you read the info he has it set up to it should be solid. I will de looking for a mill though any body have anything?

My buddy

He is a great guy who is giving me the rig I have wanting for a long while now. He is LOSIASSOATED# or Greg.I met him on here when trading my buggy a few weeks ago. He is building me a LST2 with the 427 on it!! This guy kicks some major a@# not for just doing this but as a person in general. That just shows how good of people are in this hobby. Since I have been back in this hobby I have met some great folks Woodie you to,among others. But Greg is an awsome guy who stands by what he says then some. I might still trade my Maxx though for that Mammoth or I might just keep the Maxx its a good rig, but the guy with the mammoth is still wanting it.So I am geeked out of my mind about what Greg is doing and when he is done I will get some pics!:D
