And, honestly other than really old school back in the day, it's the first nice ground radio I've ever owned. My Traxxas link system has been outstanding for the money, I just grew tired of the horrible menu system and limited adjustments now that I'm racing again. I'm also seriously considering another crawler soon, and wanted more channels that I could assign to various things. Time to read the novel that came with it. :D

Thanks Lloyd, those are pretty cool!

Is that a good one?....should I want one?, I was thinking on a spektrum.........ah, I have no clue

I'm not going to start a Spektrum vs Futaba thing as I don't want to get into that to be honest. I prefer Futaba myself though, as I had some issues with Spektrum ground radios, but that's just my experience. I'll let you guys know what I think after spending some time with it.

Ya I hear you, and I won't ask you to. Frankly I'd be glad to have something that was able to control multiple light kits...like high/low beams, brake lights....fog lights, maybe even low glow. As well as multiple R/Cs.

The Life batteries are great, I have the KillerRC 2300 in my 4PL and LOVE it!!!

My oh my, what a "one upper", you just had to rub it in his face that you had him by 200mAh. :D

If I wasn't so "committed" to Spektrum right now, I'd be looking into Futaba.

Futaba it is then, I seen that same remote last weekend when I was bouncing around Edmonton in a couple different shops, kinda regret I didn't bring one home with me now that I see HPIguys. Is it just me or does that screen look like a recycled 1st edition gameboy.

Turns out my go-to HS is all sold out of the 4PLS, guess they went like crazy, and I don't feel like driving further into the city to another HS. Anyway they do still have this one: futaba 4PK-R, seems a bit pricy though.

I have the 3PL and love it, great range, all the features I need but I wouldn't mind having the 4PL :)

Just thought I'd give an update; I've yet to charge the TX pack since the initial charge, and that includes racing on Sundays, lots of bash packs around the house, and lots of setup time with the radio on lately for new rigs. I wish the radio had a cumulative timer like my air craft radio does, as I'd love to know how much run time I've had on one charge.

I thought all high end radios had a timer? My spectrum has one. Also has an alarm witch i liked for rrunning nitro.

It has a timer for things like that, but not for total time powered on per model like my Futaba aircraft system has, which is what I'm wanting. For each aircraft, I can use that timer to know how many hours are on the airframe. That's very important for some aircraft (helis especially for me) for routine maintenance reasons.

Oh i see. That is nifty that a radio can do all of that.
I follow this thread i am interested in futaba radios
