Good to be back

Been out for the last few days due to some storms coming into town and knocking our power out for about 3 days. Luckily we have a generator that provided enough electricity to keep a couple lights, the refrig, deep freezer and a TV up and running.

Finally got everything back on last night and first thing I did was a take a nice warm shower!

When power was cut off due to all the fires last Oct, we at least could take hot showers and cook since they didn’t shut off our gas.

I guess because the gas lines are buried is why they didn't turn off the gas, but instead killed the electric?

High winds blowing tree branches into power lines caused all the fires which is why they cut the power. Of course by then, all the fires were already going strong. Power was only off for us for a day. Last earthquake knocked out power for 3 days, but we still had gas then as well.
