Hey everyone. My LHS has finished their indoor track and my brother said he saw people drift racing while he went out to buy me parts. Well now I want to get into the whole electric drifting too. Does anyone know of a good electric drifter? Maybe a TT01? Thanks.

-Coby.

Whether you like HPI or not coby, their drift cars are pretty good quality, and both A Main and Towers have a good selection. I personally hate Tamiya products, with the glaring exception of the shorty 40 Landcruiser.....

I never said I hated HPI. Personally I think they make very great products. I also thing so for Tamiya.

Sorry coby. I wasn't suggesting YOU didnt like HPI, an I apologise. Apart from the Savage, and where I come from EVEN the Savage, HPI is affectionately known as 'horse poo industries' and is not considered very good.
I have heard however that their drifters are quite tidy.

i have an associated TC5 and its pretty insane. I have driven the TT-01 before and its not a bad setup but would need a little more oomph to be a good drifter IMO.

Some guy offered me a TC3 for $85 as a whole setup. I was thinking of getting it if I'm able to sell my Chaos's.

But I've had experience with an HPI electric RS4 and I loved it. I have no idea why I traded it.

theres the HPI Sprint 2 drift is a pretty good drift car

+1 on that. I've heard and read many good things about this rig. I also want to try drift and once I get finances settled a bit, that rig is my choice. Also the RS4 seems like it could become a good drifter also, not sure though since I havent seen one in action yet.

Yeah, I have thought about getting a drifter myself, I think it would be a blast. Was not sure which ones to look at though, now I know.

Hey guys. What about the Cyclone S? It looks like a really nice car for the price. I could probably grab one that was used.

i like belt drive but its only nice if you are driving in very clean conditions. no pebbles or anything. It looks nice with all the aluminum parts on it

Yeah, I won't be driving outside. My LHS's track is indoor only and the outside and inside of my garage is plainly smooth asphault.

Hey guys. Sorry for the double post, but I have a question on another car. How about the Losi XXXS? I saw this browsing through some RC sites and I thought it was pretty good. Any experiences?

I've just bought a tt-01 with the intention of making a drifter.
everyone I've spoken to recommends it as a great starter.
cheap parts and a huge user base.
