I use the "trip to the computer store" from time to time.

Leave at 3:30-4:00 saying you have to pick up some random PC part.

Call work on your cell at 4:45 and say you're still at the computer store and can't make it back in and that you'll just bring the stuff in monday.

Or maybe you have a doctor's appointment you forgot about...
