going bald re-tuning!

Go to an auto supply store and get the red RTV silicone.
THOROUGHLY clean the backplate and back of the block with denatured alcohol. Clean out the one way bearing and the shaft while you're in there, also.
Smear a bead of it around the backplate and O-ring if it has one, and align the screws and snug them slightly.
DO NOT tighten it down. You want it to be about the thickness of 2 or 3 sheets of printer paper. You want the silicone to be flat and even and left to set for 24 hours till it's fully cured. It is now an actual gasket, and will compress nicely when you tighten the screws all the way down.
If you tighten it down when the silicone is fresh, it will all squish out, pretty much defeating its' purpose.
