Nah, it doesn't, It only looks that way because it is something Tall and skinny moving real fast, Giving you the Illusion.

Just took of the 3.5 Briggs on my Mini Bike, it ran around 35, once it got moving, but for pulling grassy hills ect.. it was horrible. So i threw on a 5.5hp Snow blower engine. can't wait till tomorrow to try it out. hehe

Thats what i got in there, a Snow blower Motor.

But mine is only 5hp

With a good torque converter, 5 horses should pull you fine, Hell maby get you around 50 if have the right size sprockets.

I have access to a 8hp lawnmower engine.
Does anyone know how fast that would pull a 200 pound gokart. (I'm about 110 and the thing might be about 90) Thanks.

Well, i put it in, Hit the throttle, And it wheelied for about 100 feet, then my Fat fiddlesticks ass fell off, the throttle Broke off, and the brakes broke.

I think i put a Jr.Dragster clutch on it. i forget.

I'm getting it back together withing the next week or so

SHK, Put that poop in there man, You would hit 90 easily.

You can take the govenor off, actually your suppsed too, BUT make SURE you have a torque converter, if you dont, you can have a 10hp Briggs, and it will only move a small kart at 15 mph, you have to make the switch to a lower gear or youll just rev the engine to high, and then boom its gone. Just make sure you have a geart reducer or a good converter. Then you can hit the highend speeds like nothing.

I don't think it has that big of a shot...it didn't say how much it was...it's probably like 30 shot or something real small...150 shot is a lot

I have a 500 shot on my car

and it was not a 150 shot, Noot even a 30 shot. Maybe a 10-12 shot.

The Bore and stroke is not big enough to hold anything more.
