Hi at the moment I use a D cell glow start if your car is well tuned then this is much easier as you can just replace the battery instead of recharging every few starts. I also own a 3000mAh rechargable glowstart i prefer to use this when tuning as it may take a while with the glow start in before the car actually starts, this means you don't go through several batteries in one tuning session. I own a 3000mAh glow start the more the mAh the longer the glow start lasts between charges this cost me £13 on ebay UK a really good buy. Hope this helps.
i use a tower hobbies 12volt field battery with a power panel and a kwik clip ignitor works awesome and never dies, plus you can adjust the glow plug heat
the only drawback is its big
I have two, one is my backup: a 1200 mah Venom ignitor and an aluminum machined one from Great Planes with a 4500 mah NiMH battery. It lasts forever and it just clips on, no twisting, no slider.
The "C" one is nice to have in case my NiCad's die. I can always drop in a good duracell and be ready to go for the day.
The last one I listed is my favorite. The other two kind of grab the plug and where they grab, then tend to wear/stretch out over time. The last one was a quick clip one that you push down, then rotate and it locks onto the plug. Seems to hold on much better than the other two.
Having a longer one is nice for tall bodies or high mounted bodies. Then you can get it on the plug without taking off the body.
