Is it true that the use of different types/styles of glow plugs can effect the running temperature. Which type/style of glow plug will effect the running temps in which way? Thanks.

Different temperatures of plug affect the ignition timing of the engine which can affect the engine temps due to different carb settings required and cause a loss of power. But the actual temp of the plug won't affect the running temp of the engine directly.

A hot plug ignites the fuel/air mix in the cylinder earlier in the rotation than a cold plug. Typically when running 25% nitro or higher, you want a cooler plug. I've also found that my BB engines run better with more power running 20% with a little cooler plug than HOT.
