glow plug ignitor battery/charge question

Yeah... but if it's a wall charger, they typically only put out 150ma, so it will take almost a full day to fully charge them. 3400/150=22.6

NiMH's don't care for being overcharged, so you will want to keep an eye on them or be around for the last 5-6 hours depending on when they peak. Just try and keep an eye on the cell temps. I think anything between 90F-100F is safe... that's about where my peak charger stops on my receiver packs.

Thanks olds! Ill be sure to keep an eye on em. 1 person who ordered the same batterys from this guy already melted a couple. But he was using them in a pack for an electric an only he knows what charger he was using. I was just hoping a regular glowplug ignitor charger would charge the damn things. I bet I get alot of use between charges!

Just keep in mind that NiMH cells typically loose charge all the time, even when sitting. Wouldn't be a bad idea to plug it in, get it to a full charge, then make sure to plug it in the night prior to going out running.

Yes and NiMH don't have the same problems NiCads do. You don't have to discharge them to charge them. I've heard that NiMH batteries lose about 1% of their charge for each day they go unused.

Well, they arrived yesterday (thursday) around 3:00pm. I immediatly installed them in my ignitors and put one on the charger. Still charging! My charger is a greatplanes and has a red light that will go out when the battery is charged. Lights still on and the battery isnt even warm? I hope it will charge them. Begining to wonder?

Maybe it finished charging a long time ago and the battery cooled down? My light stays on two when I charge mine and it's finished.

Huh... mine has a light that doesn't shut off. At least I don't think it does.

The 'Wall Wart' chargers usually have a red LED to indicate that the circuit is complete, and it is charging the battery. The light USUALLY doesn't go out, so you still need to keep an eye on time and temperature.
A lot of times you won't notice a warm battery due to the very slow trickle charge.

oops, maybe the light doesn't go out? i thaught it did like my charger for my reciever packs? i tried the ignitor on a new plug and have never seen a plug glow so bright. i think I'm ok,if they dont burn up the glowplugs? thanks for the help guys.
