Any one know of a better glow plug igniter. I've had two so far the first one wouldn't get hot enough no matter how full the charge was and the second one will only hold a charge for about two starts then its done.

Thanks.

my roommate bought a hangar 9 and I've got a 10 year old CEN that still works...lol

It depends on what your using? If your using a standard ignitor that has a sub c battery then it probably time to replace the battery. If it's a hot shot battery type then it's probably dead to. I've upgraded from using 1300 mah sub c batteries to using 1750 and 1800 mah batteries that i charge on my peak charger in about an hour. if you have a peak chager then all you need is the glow warmer adapter that converts a tamiya plug to a glow plug to put in the ignitor. If not then you obviously need the charger. You can get both at towerhobbies. I like many others on this site hate having a dead ignitor.

I use this:

And I just use 2650Mah NiMH duracell batteries that I charge with my RC charger in a 4 pack holder. Seems to work really well and it's nice to be able to charge 2/4 cells (depending on your holder) or just the one in the heater with my charger.

I timed how long it lasted just to see if an AA could hold up... but for the life of me, I can't recall how long it took to drain a cell on my bench. I do know it lasted way longer than my dynamite sub-c heater.
