Sounds like you're concerned because your igniter cell is a Nicd and without fully discharging a Nicd, it will develop a memory and shortly thereafter die. To get long life from a Nicd cell it should be fully discharged before the next charge. I know, I know....most of us would never fully discharge an ignitor in one day of use. But we slap it back on the charger as soon as we get home.
You could make one using a standard 'brake light bulb' with two wires coming off of it. Connect the wires to the cell directly or connect them to the igniter tip/barrel and discharge it that way.
Or.......replace that Nicd cell with a Nimh cell. They have no memory, and don't mind if you use it a little, then re-charge, use it alot, re-charge, or whatever. Nimh's are much more forgiving when it comes to charge/dis-charge cycles.
