1/6 buggies are damn difficult to drive due they are 2WD, you have to be patient if you drive in packed surfaces, otherwise once you get the drving skills they are cool and cheap to mantain, I think FG has released a 4WD version but I've not tested it, Carson has released a copy of the FG Marder and then you have the other brand models, Lauterbaucher,Harm and Crojet, We are building the first 3 prototipes of a new car but they will not be available untill the end of September and it will not be on the market untill the end of the year, probably the FG Marder is the best option for you. Regarding the Traxxas I have no experience with it but I've not heard very good things about it.
